Marina District

San Diego’s Marina District, which was once home only to warehouses and vacant lots, is now a thriving neighborhood of mid-rise and high-rise hotels, apartment buildings, condominium complexes, offices spaces, and retail shops. Seaport Village, San Diego Convention Center, and Pantoja Park, the oldest park in San Diego, are all located in and around the Marina District, which is bordered to the north by Core Columbia District, to the east by the Gaslamp Quarter, and to the west by the San Diego Marriott Marina.

San diego's Marina District

Many of the condominium complexes offer stunning views of San Diego bay and downtown city lights. All boast amazing walkability.  Venues like Children’s Park, Martin Luther King Promenade, and the Embarcadero Marina Park are part of the landscape for Marina District dwellers.

The newest revitalization effort in the area is the 2013 restoration of San Diego’s old police headquarters, now named The Headquarters at Seaport.  A local favorite as well as a tourist destination, The Headquarters is an exciting and delightful outdoor dining and shopping experience.  This urban treasure offers restaurants like Puesto and Season 52 and specialty boutiques such as Kitson and Seaside Paper. With abundant outdoor dining options and beautiful surroundings, this is the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The Marina District offers a surprisingly quiet neighborhood feel even though it is located just blocks from the hustle and bustle of Market street and Broadway – downtown San Diego’s main thoroughfares.  A sophisticated mix of style and luxury combined with shopping, dining, and relatively chill vibe is the lifestyle one can expect.
